365 days or 8760 hours or 525,600 minutes or 3.15 million seconds of marriage. And what an amazing journey. But, as we concluded this weekend, one that would be impossible without immeasurable grace and forgiveness.
We spent the weekend celebrating in the arms of phenomenal hospitality at Three Hills Inn. Here's a picture of the Inn and the view from the Inn.
What an amazing time of year to be in the trees...
When we first arrived, we had quick memories to a random hotel experience in Costa Rica - late arrivals up an abandoned gravel driveway and then bugs on the wall when we arrived, but this time...LADYBUGS! Evidently, the Forest Service, in an attempt to protect these precious trees from a potential gypsy moth attack. The amazing power of our natural warfare!
The next day was mostly R&R until we dressed up to take advantage of a gracious gift certificate for dinner. Restaurant #1 - booked. So, we headed down to Hot Springs to try out Sam Snead's.
The town was cute, restaurant charming, but full. So back on the road. We came across Country Cafe, dressed up, eating with the locals. Dinner was completed with the piece de resistance.
The next day, our anniversary, held brunch, reading, hiking and at last, our dinner at the (previously booked) Waterwheel restaurant...it was a SPLENDID weekend! There's so much more...as I can say about our year...but you got the highlights!
