Well, I got you caught up to the beginning of January, now we're already into February - including a few snow storms!! In January, my show team hosted our very first NCEL meet, a success thanks to many parents, families, friends and spouses. Then 2 weeks later, Brad bought his very first horse! Well, it was a joint effort, but the outcome is a new member of our family for the time being. Meet BO:

Then the last weekend of January was a big family birthday weekend. My parents made their first visit east together! It was great to see them and the rest of the family for typical Kane celebrations, complete with Chinese food :) That same weekend, Brad and I joined the rest of the Arlington/McLean Young Life crew for a Leadership weekend up in Bethesda. It was a refreshing weekend, informative, with great teaching and we enjoyed the opportunity to get to know some of our comrades in ministry better.
Last weekend we finished our NCEL season, now on to the Finals in 2 weeks - it has been an excellent experience for us all. Brad made it through his first Accounting test - and survived, and the DC area got their first real winter storm that closed schools for 3 days straight! It's mostly ice with a little snow - but it's been around all week. All in all, we've had some fun evenings of babysitting, games, movies and dinners with friends.
And finally, please, go see how adorable my cousin's daughter is: http://s96.photobucket.com/albums/l199/hokiesmile/?action=view¤t=PhotoStory1.flv
